When it comes to good news and health benefits, berries just about have it all.  Berries have antioxidants known as anthocyanins, which help keep the brain sharp as you get older, others have ellagic acid, a property known for combating cancer. All berries have an excellent amount of fiber in them, which helps regulate the digestive system.

Berries, such as blueberries and raspberries, may one day lead to more effective Cancer-prevention strategies. Research published in the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis suggests that flavonoids and other compounds found in berries may help reduce colon cancer risk.
